VISITS TO THE RESCUE CENTER ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Adoptions will be handled by appointment. Rainbow Animal Rescue NC is a no-kill rescue that takes animals from county stray dog pounds, and homes that can no longer look after them. The dogs stay in foster homes around the Roanoke Rapids area or at our new Animal Rescue and Adoption Center looked after by our volunteers based in North Eastern NC, until they find a suitable home. If you can home, foster or move these pets to another rescue please e-mail:halifaxrescueangels@yahoo.com for information about the dogs
If you would like to foster a dog or cat (give it a temporary home) please click here to fill out our Foster Home Application form. Please email us to schedule a time to meet your newest family member. If you would like to meet more than one pet when you visit, this can be arranged. You can help us speed up the adoption process by completing our Adoption Application Form
We have so many calls our voice mail is often full. You can text but with so many texts it is hard to respond. We have 400+ applications at this time. We do look at each one, but as unpaid volunteers with jobs (we have to pay our bills) and families (yes, we have those too), we are limited in how quickly we can process them. A lot of time is spent with messaging. It is best to fill out the Adoption Application Form. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
